About Ibanez RGD

The electric guitars from the RGD series are largely based on the popular RG series and yet the Ibanez company has managed to take it a step further to create the ultimate metal machine .

The requirements of downtuning require a specially developed response that is not found on "normal" guitars. To optimize the rich, desirable thick tone that down-tuning produces, the neck was lengthened an inch to a 26.5"scale length . This makes the RGD guitars' neck longer than standard, but not excessively long . As you would expect from RG guitars, the neck is still suitable for fast solo playing . Extra deep cutaways allow the guitarist easy access to the highest notes of the neck.

The Ibanez RGD series is currently produced in three different versions. These are RGD-Prestige, RGD-Axion-Label and the RGD-Standard.

The RGD Prestige series is the absolute non-plus-ultra. It combines precision, power and playability in every instrument. To achieve true innovation in design and construction / acoustic , the RGD Prestige series combines high-tech manufacturing techniques with traditional Japanese craftsmanship . The Prestige Line is based on the ideas and suggestions of musicians from all over the world, which means that the models are constantly being further developed.

The electric guitars from the RDG Axion label series take up the established elements of modern electric guitar design and push them into new, less explored areas. Similar to the Bass Workshop series - which is considered the tip of the iceberg - the Axion label comes with exciting features such as multi- scale length design , state-of-the-art pickup from Fishman, Bare Knuckle® and DiMarzio and hardware innovations such as the Evertune ® bridge is used. All elements here represent the ultimate potential of this series.

The RGD standard series is considered a solid rock in the surf. The features of the Standard series contain all the cornerstones for which the Ibanez brand is famous. This includes fast necks, soaring highs and high-octane distortion in one package.

About Ibanez

The Japanese instrument manufacturer Ibanez can look back on a long tradition in guitar and bass building. While Ibanez initially stood out with idiosyncratic copies of traditional models from manufacturers such as Gibson and Fender , independent series gradually came onto the market, such as the Iceman, JEM, Artcore and RG. In the 1980s, the manufacturer made a name for itself, especially in the heavy sector, with its instruments that shone with modern features, individual design and excellent playability. Innovations such as the 7- and 8-string guitars, which emerged from the fruitful collaboration with artists such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Meshuggah, did the rest to establish Ibanez 's good reputation. Today the manufacturer offers an extensive range, ranging from entry-level guitars and basses to unusual custom shop models. Ibanez also knows how to impress when it comes to effects devices and amplifier model , as the classic TS9 Tubescreamer proves. With us you will find a comprehensive selection of guitars, basses, amplifiers, effects and accessories from Ibanez.
