The Ibanez AAM50CE is an acoustic guitar with an Advanced Auditorium body and features a cutaway that makes it easier to reach the higher registers. The top is made of Sitka spruce, which provides a warm sound . The bottom and sides are made of sapele, a wood that is a cheaper alternative to mahogany. The neck is made of Okoume and the fretboard is Purpleheart with White Dot fretboard inlays. The rosette consists of several ABS rings. The saddle and bridge inlay are made of plastic and the guitar has a matte finish . The scale length is 25" (635 mm) and it has 6 strings. The sound of the Ibanez AAM50CE is supported by the in-house, integrated Ibanez Custom Electronics pre-amp system and an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup .
