Die Gibson SJ-200 ist eine der bekanntesten und Akustikgitarren und hat sich ihrem Titel als "King of the Flat Tops" redlich verdient. Seit der Erstveröffentlichung im Jahr 1937 erfreut sich die Super Jumbo sowohl bei Live-Künstlern als auch bei Studiomusikern und Hobbygitarristen großer Beliebtheit und ist eine der meistgespielten Gitarren.
Die auffäligsten Features der SJ-200 Original sind die Moustache-Style Palisander-Brücke, ein Tortoise-Pickguard mit floraler Grafik ähnlich den Pickguards der Modelle Hummingbird und Dove und Crown-Griffbretteinlagen aus Perlmutt, sowie ein Custom-Inlay auf der Kopfplatte. Ein Highlicht ist auch der Korpus aus wunderschön geflammtem Ahorn, das für einen besonders eleganten Look sorgt. Das Antique Natural-Finish sorgt zudem für das zu diesem amerikanischen Klassiker passende Vintage-Feeling.
Für den perfekten Sound am Verstärker ist ein L.R. Baggs VTC Pickup mit Pre-Amp verbaut. Der Volume- und der Tone-Regler sind im Schalloch verbaut worden, um die auffällig gemasterte Zarge ohne Durchbruch für das Bedienfeld erhalten wird, und so ihre volle optische Wirkung entfalten kann.
Die SJ-200 Original wird samt Vintage-Koffer ausgeliefert, der den Look der Gitarre perfekt ergänzt. Damit steht dem ersten Live-Auftritt nichts mehr im Weg!

The US Gibson Guitar Corporation, founded in 1902 by Orville Gibson in Kalamazoo, Michigan, was initially known for production mandolins and banjos. Today the company's headquarters are in Nashville, Tennessee and Gibson is one of the world's most well-known and renowned manufacturers of electric guitars.
The Les Paul model , named after its creator Lester William Polsfuss, is one of the most famous and best-selling electric guitar shapes of all time and founded the design of the single cut guitar, which has been copied, adopted and reinterpreted by numerous other manufacturers. The Les Paul is primarily valued for its warm and powerful sound . The humbucker pickup responsible for this, in its common design today, was also developed by Seth Lover at Gibson .
At the beginning of the 1960s, another solid body electric guitar from Gibson appeared, the Gibson SG . Initially intended as a successor to the Les Paul, it became another icon of rock history, thanks in part to Angus Young from AC/DC, and is the basis for the double cut guitar type .
With the Flying V and the Explorer , Gibson is responsible for two body shapes that were far ahead of their time at the time of their release in the late 1950s, but which also achieved legendary status over the years. To this day they also serve as the basis for a variety of heavy guitars , for example from manufacturers such as Jackson or ESP.
The Gibson custom shop produces commissioned work , high-quality one-off pieces and exact replicas of famous models and legendary vintages of their instruments. These are often subjected to an artificial aging process called relicing.
Acoustic guitars have also been produced for almost as long as the company has existed. The J-45 , the Hummingbird , the L-00 and the SJ-200 are among the most popular acoustic guitars in the world and were the instrument of choice for Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and John Lennon.
