Man verlässt den sicheren Hafen der allseits bekannten und bewährten Designs und bringt frischen Wind in die Welt der Fender E-Gitarren und -Bässe. Die Meteora Serie erweitert, wie der Name es schon vermuten lässt, die sehr beliebte Player Plus Serie. Besonderes Augenmerk hat Fender bei der Meteora Serie auf die Bespielbarkeit der Instrumente gelegt. Hierzu hat Fender der Meteora Serie ein C-Halsprofil mit 12 Zoll Griffbrettradius und abgerundeten Kanten spendiert. Zu der Serie gehören neben den mit zwei Fireball-Humbuckern ausgestatteten E-Gitarren auch aktive E-Bässe, die mit zwei Fireball-Bass-Humbuckern an den Start gehen.
