Everything about the neck is designed for fast and fluid playability, from the modern ‘C’ neck profile with satin urethane finish on the back to the comfortable 9.5" radius rosewood or one-piece maple fingerboard with smooth rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets.
The alder body provides that classic Fender punch and is available in a variety of exciting new finishes. Player II Noiseless pickups deliver classic Tele twang and bite while eliminating unwanted noise. The push/pull switch on the tone control provides even more tonal flexibility by changing the pickup wiring from parallel to series for fatter tones. The 6-saddle bridge, short post locking tuners, TUSQ saddle and modern string tree provide incredibly stable tuning, even on the most demanding bends or roaring rock leads.

Introducing the Fender Player II Modified series. Here, classic Fender style meets professional upgrades, straight from the factory. Fender has incorporated the improvements that guitarists love, some of which were also used in the previous Player Plus series: From in-house Noiseless pickups to locking tuners that give these guitars and basses a more modern sound, more tonal versatility and improved performance.
Based on Fender's best-selling Player II series, the Fender Player II Modified series takes it up a notch for musicians who expect more. This series includes Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass models with four- and five-string configurations and combines noiseless pickups, locking tuners and upgraded hardware to take an already exceptional line of guitars and basses to the next level.
For musicians who would normally modify their instrument to improve tone, playability and performance, these instruments come factory-equipped with the most desirable upgrades - no modifications required.
