Introducing: Your Dream Instrument from Fender

Every info for your decision
After the takeover by CBS in 1965, the Stratocaster was modified several times. In 1966, for example, the headstock was enlarged to match the look of the Stratocaster to the Jaguar and Jazzmaster. Although the new look took some getting used to, the larger headstock also seemed to counteract problems with warping of the wood that occurred with the old design. The design remained unchanged until the 1980s, when the company switched back to the smaller headstock. Guitars from this period are rarely copied in the Custom Shop, so this model, which is based on a guitar from 1967, is a real rarity:
The Fender LTD Custom Shop 67 Stratocaster JRN HSS Faded Aged Blue Ice Metallic is a classic ST-style electric guitar with a two-piece alder body. Alder wood was already used in the original Stratocaster guitars since the end of the 1950s and provides the basis for the perfect vintage sound. The body wood was selected by hand to ensure a particularly light weight and thus improve playing comfort. The aged maple neck with a rosewood fretboard features a '65 Style "C" Back Shape profile and a fretboard radius of 9,5”, which offers the perfect compromise between vintage feel and modern comfort. The guitar is equipped with a modern S-S-S pickup combination of two Fender Custom Shop Hand-Wound Fat ’64 Strat® single coilsans a Fender Shawbucker Humbucker in the bridge position. Other features include Fender Vintage Style tuners, White potentiometer caps, a Fender 6-Saddle American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo bridge and a tortoise pickguard.
This model is finished in an eye-catching Ice Blue Metallic. The thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish ensures that the wood can vibrate particularly well and that the lacquer finish ages more beautifully. Here’s where we get into the look and feel of a guitar that’s been loved and played. If you play your instrument often, it’s a simple truth that your axe will eventually show some wear. Even for players who take great care of their guitars, a fall from a stand, other people’s wandering hands, or even the mysteriously-appearing ding can take a toll. Each of those marks adds character. And that’s what you get with Fender Custom Shop’s Journeyman Relic level. A well-taken-care-of instrument that has been played, gigged, and loved.
The Fender LTD Custom Shop 67 Stratocaster JRN HSS Faded Aged Blue Ice Metallic comes with a certificate of authenticity in a luxurious original Fender Custom Shop Brown Tolex case with blue interior, allowing you to safely transport your new dream guitar and protect it from external influences.
