Mike Kerr is a bass player that you rarely find. Together with his musical partner Ben Thatcher on drums, he brings a completely new and idiosyncratic type of alternative rock to stages around the world as Royal Blood. Royal Blood is a British garage and blues rock duo formed in Worthing, England in 2013. Unlike most modern rock bands, Royal Blood doesn't need a four or five piece band to wow the masses with their sounds . This enthusiasm is also reflected in the charts; the self-titled debut album reached number one in Great Britain, as did its successors, How Did We Get So Dark? and Typhoons , which is a huge musical power , especially in this day and age.
Frontman Mike Kerr has a very special selection of instruments that he cherishes and cares for. The bassist only rarely gives information and insights into the world of his basses. Thanks to Fender, that has now changed and we can look forward to a special bass, as the world-famous guitar and bass manufacturer has tailored a Jaguar bass to the Royal Blood frontman.

The Mike Kerr Jaguar Bass delivers the powerful, raw and penetrating sound and iconic riffs that catapulted Royal Blood into the charts. The alder body and maple neck with rosewood fretboard ensure proper punch, perfect resonance properties and plenty of warmth according to the classic Fender tonewood formula. The compact shortscale 30" scale length maple neck has a slim Modern "C" profile and medium jumbo frets on a 9.5" radius rosewood slab board. This means that it offers a modern and light playing feel, even with the fast bass lines that are popular with Royal Blood.

The bass features a versatile pair of high-performance pickup , including a Fender Custom Humbucker in the bridge and a Fender "Wide Range" Humbucker Bass in the middle position. These are great for reproducing Mike's aggressive, anthemic riffs and searing lead lines. Gold-tone hardware and elegant White Pearloid block inlays complement the vibrant Tiger's Blood Orange finish for a truly impressive look. A special highlight for all Royal Blood fans is the custom neck plate with Mike's favorite artwork.
