The SYNTAKT is a sound metropolis that fuses analog and digital synthesis into an instrument with enormous possibilities.
All your clan editing, sequencing or performance needs are met by the Elektron SYNTAKT. And the small device fits comfortably on your lap.

The SYNTAKT is not just a drum specialist with many percussive options, but the 12 tracks can also be used for melody, harmony and bass sounds. Experience sounds from the past and create new sounds for the future. The SYNTAKT contains over 35 analog and digital machines.
(Machines = also called sound generators in the electronic universe. Basically the synthesizers in the synthesizer.)

The sound of each machine can of course be influenced intuitively and playfully.
Select and route your own tracks and other external input via the FX track. delay, reverb, analog distortion and a few LFOs are available to experiment with. SYNTAKT's four expressive modifiers let you unleash your sound with different speeds, retrigs, and different settings of other parameters.
Using the keyboard mode, you can also access a variety of different, more and sometimes less familiar, scales, which, according to Elektron , “help you discover new places and take things to another level”.
