Clavia is a Swedish electronic musical instrument manufacturer based in Stockholm, founded in 1983 by Hans Nordelius. After initially producing drum machine and electronic drum sets , Clavia has relied on keyboard instruments such as stage pianos and synthesizers since the release of the Nord Lead in 1995. The Nord Lead and Nord Wave are virtual analog synthesizers, the latter being sample-based .
