With the OD5 , Austrian Audio is bringing an active-dynamic microphone onto the market, which is optimized for use on instruments.
Manufactured by hand in Vienna and subjected to the strictest quality assurance processes, the OD5 instrument microphone again comes with a few special features in the usual Austrian Audio manner.
The most noticeable thing is the “Swivel Joint” mechanics. To make positioning the instrument microphone easier, Austrian Audio's engineers have developed a suspension for the microphone basket that allows it to rotate 220°. This means that the microphone can be precisely aligned with the sound source or depending on your personal sound preferences without having to laboriously adjust or loosen the microphone stand.
As a very versatile instrument microphone, the OD5 will find many uses. Excellent for use on various drums, a special hook has been developed for it, which is available as an optional accessory. But the active-dynamic instrument microphone from Austrian Audio is also ideal for guitar amplifiers and brass instruments due to its technical properties.
