Buy capos at session

Are you looking for a capo to bring a bit more variety to your guitar playing or maybe to escape a tricky barre chord? Then you've come to the right place. We have the right capo for every type of guitar. A capo is a movable clamp that allows you to change the pitch of the guitar.

The capo is clamped around the guitar neck between two frets. The capo (short form) presses the guitar strings down onto the fretboard in front of the respective fret. By using a capo the guitar's scale length is shortened. The capo thereby replaces the function of the bridge. As the scale length is shortened, the pitch of all strings increases by one semitone per fret. With this handy playing aid (which every guitarist should own) so‑called barre chords can be realised with ease. Depending on the area of application, capos differ in their shape, features and materials.

Before buying a capo you should take a close look at the profile of your fretboard. A distinction is generally made between a flat and a radiused fretboard. It is important that the capo matches the neck profile and presses the strings onto the fretboard with sufficient pressure. You should ensure that no unwanted noises occur and that neither the neck nor the fretboard of the guitar are damaged. In our webshop you'll find suitable capos for all common guitar types from Planet Waves, Ortega, Shubb, G7TH and many other brands.
