About Adam Jones

In his childhood, Adam Jones first played the violin and later the electric bass. While at school, he played in a band called Electric Sheep with Tom Morello, later guitarist for Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. After graduating from school, studying FX technology and a short career in the film business, he founded the progressive and alternative metal band TOOL with his neighbor Maynard James Keenan, bassist Paul d'Amour and drummer Danny Carey. He also took over video production for the band and shot the famous TOOL videos , which differ from ordinary music videos with their stop-motion technique, drab colors and grotesque figures. On stages around the world, accompanied by his Gibson guitars, he impresses with his technically sophisticated guitar playing and his relaxed demeanor.
