Arranging and wiring effects pedals correctly
When you connect effects pedals to your amp you need to bear in mind that the amp already has an effect itself — namely distortion. This interacts differently with different effects. If you play an amp with an effects loop, you can decide whether your effected signal is amplified and possibly distorted, or whether you send the distorted signal through the effect.
