No problem with the OX from Universal Audio!
Olli follows in the footsteps of his great childhood heroes and shows you in the video how legendary AC/DC sounds can be reproduced with the help of the OX from Universal Audio.
In true AC/DC spirit as embodied by frontman Angus Young, Olli grabbed a Gibson SG and a 100-watt Marshall — the most important and basically the only ingredients in the dry, honest crunchy tone we all love AC/DC for. The rest of the sound, from the speaker cabinet to the microphone, is taken care of by the Universal Audio OX.
The OX is an attenuator, also known as a loadbox, which lets you reduce the amplifier power sent to the speaker cabinet. In practice this means that even a 100-watt Marshall Plexi can be played at full power-amp saturation at room volume. In addition to the option of sending the signal to a guitar cabinet, this is where the OX’s digital component comes into play.
With the accompanying software, thanks to the many high-quality cabinet, microphone and room simulations, you can create record-ready, high-quality guitar sounds and save them to the six slots of the RIG knob. The connection is wireless via WiFi and also works with tablets.
