Digital pianos for advanced players and professionals
As prices increase, advanced and professional players not only get more extensive features and functions, but also higher sound quality and an even more authentic playing feel. This is reflected in particular by a higher number of voices (polyphony) and a more dynamic key response. From Kawai, the CA and CS series have established themselves in the mid to upper price segment between €1,400 and €2,500. Roland’s HP series and Yamaha’s Clavinova series also impress with outstanding touch and realistic piano sounds. Across all manufacturers, the 88 keys are already made of wood and are additionally coated with an "Ivory Touch" surface. This surface emulates ivory and thus provides an even more realistic piano-playing experience. Under the bonnet of these compact digital pianos the number of voices (polyphony) has also increased. The piano sound comes very close to an acoustic piano and the playing feel of the touch-sensitive, hammer-action keyboard also resembles the acoustic original. Compact digital pianos such as the Roland FP-90, Yamaha P-515 or the Kawai ES-8 combine slim dimensions with a conventional design, making them ideal for integrating into your home living space.
