The popular DTX model series from Yamaha is entering the next round. With the three new electronic drum kits from the DTX6 series , Yamaha continues its long tradition and combines its experience in this field with new functions and powerful sounds.
New drum sounds
The Yamaha DTX6 series drum module is packed with lifelike drum sounds as well as digital sounds that were recorded in very elaborate recording sessions in some of the most renowned studios in the world. In order to create a truly realistic sound image, the attack and release phases of each individual drum were optimized and the spatial sound of the studio environment was also recorded. Using the Yamaha kit modifier, you can now not only control the compression or effect intensity and set it for each drum and cymbals channel, but the recorded surround sound can also be mixed into the drum sound in a dynamic way. If you then put on a headphones and plug them into the new high-quality headphone amplifier , you could easily get the impression that you are sitting on an acoustic drum kit.
Realistic feel
The DTX6 series pads have also been redesigned for a particularly authentic playing feel and ultra-precise expression. The playing surface of the snare pads is made of TCS (Textured Cellular Silicone). Under the playing surface, a silicone cushion equipped with countless air chambers intercepts the stick hits and at the same time transforms them into a realistic rebound. The pads for snare , ride and crash (except for the DTX6K-X) are equipped with three zones for different sound variations. This makes it possible to play not only the head of the snare, but also the rim or sidestick, while the rim, bow and bell of the cymbals pads are available and can even be stopped by hand .
Extensive connectivity
In addition to the classic audio outputs, the DTX6 series modules offer midi and USB connections . Audio data can be forwarded directly to a DAW via USB and your own performance can be transferred as midi data in order to control other sound sources and plug-ins. In this way, the data can also be edited later. If you need something more, up to 14 pads can be connected to the sound module, which enables extensive setups. In conjunction with the free Yamaha Rec'n'Share app , you have the opportunity to seamlessly connect your creativity with the digital world. Simply connect your DTX6 to a compatible iOS or Android device via USB and easily record your drum sessions as audio or video. The companion app offers extensive editing functions and time-stretching options - conveniently from the drum stool .

In order to continually work on your progress with the new DTX6 drum kits, you have a wide range of practice options available. In addition to numerous recording functions , 10 exercise programs and 35 exercise songs from a wide variety of genres, a programmable metronome helps to improve timing and perfect the groove.
