A melody between the Alps, the ocean and Arctic silence
Dario and Sabine lead an extraordinary life between the Swiss Alps, the open ocean and the far north. Their direct experiences of the effects of climate change have motivated them to actively campaign for global justice and the protection of our planet. Together with their six children they sail around the world and support sustainable projects along the way.
When they have solid ground under their feet, they live in a historically significant house north of Tromsø in Norway – today a climate‑neutral converted home. There stands their Yamaha Clavinova CSP-275PE, with an unobstructed view of the Arctic Ocean.
Günter & Marta
A Nordic rhythm of life between Hamburg and Sweden
Günter and Marta look back on a life full of creativity, music and shared time. Between Hamburg and their summer house in Sweden they have found their own rhythm: while Marta paints, Günter plays and composes on his Yamaha Clavinova CLP-735.
Music has accompanied him since childhood and remains an integral part of his daily life – and of village life. He donated his Clavinova to the community centre, where it brings people together and creates new musical encounters.
Ornella
Avant-garde from Palermo – sound between sun and shadow
Ornella is an avant-garde artist from Palermo, Sicily, whose musical path has been shaped by classical training and contemporary experimentalism. After studying at the Palermo Conservatory she devoted herself to the European avant-garde of the 20th century.
She plays a vintage Yamaha Clavinova CLP-120 – comparable to today’s CLP-835 – and uses it for sound experiments, compositions, recordings and premieres of new works. Her musical journey began on a Yamaha piano in her mother’s house, and to this day the Clavinova from her student years remains a central tool of her artistic work.
