The further developed Grand Expression Modeling 2 is responsible for an even fuller sound experience under the hood of the CLP-700 series . The complex modeling process ensures an exact and realistic replica of the interaction of hammers, mutes and strings. The sound delights beginners and professionals alike. The subtlest nuances and keystrokes are registered and create an infinite range of sonic expression . The touch not only refers to the intensity (softness/loudness) when playing and releasing the keys, but also to the speed and depth with which the keys are pressed. In addition, the popular CFX and Bösendorfer sounds of the CLP-700 series were completely re-recorded in a complex studio recording session. With all the refinements of recording art, faithful simulations of these two world-class concert grand pianos were created. Virtual Resonance modeling (VRM) ensures that all different intensity levels are reproduced faithfully.

From the 735 model series onwards, the piano sound of the two classics (CFX/Bösendorfer) is even available binaurally via headphones . With this very complex recording technology, the spatial auditory impression of playing the piano is reproduced realistically and reproduced true to the original via the ear cups of the headphones. The story behind the fortepiano

The fortepiano is considered to be the first modern piano, created in 1709 by the Italian Bartolomeo Cristofori. Cristofori replaced the harpsichord's plucking mechanism with hammers, allowing him to gain more control over the volume. At first, the instrument was called “Clavicembalo col Piano e forte,” which means “harpsichord that can play quiet and loud tones.” Over time, however, the term became shorter and the name piano became more and more common!

Even in the lower classes, perfectly coordinated speaker systems - depending on the series with different power and speaker size - ensure an authentic piano sound on two amplifiers. Things get even more differentiated with the top models. There are three loudspeaker each in the sizes 16cm + 8cm + 5cm with 42, 50 and 20 watts of power on two amplifiers to provide the necessary depth and impressive brilliance.

In addition to the particularly realistic piano sound, a digital piano must above all impress with its authentic playing feel. Therefore, the keyboards of the new CLP-700 digital piano series have of course also been updated. Already on the CLP-735 series, the brand new GrandTouch-S keyboard is waiting under the key cover . This impresses with cover layers made of synthetic ivory and ebony as well as pressure point simulation. From the 745 model series onwards, the GrandTouch-S keyboard is also equipped with wooden keys, ensuring an even more authentic gaming experience.

In the digital pianos from the CLP-775 series, the GrandTouch-S gives way to the full-blown GrandTouch keyboard. This impresses with the same features as the smaller GrandTouch-S keyboard, but has also been given a differentiated weighting of the keys and counterweights, which ensure an even more sophisticated playing feel.
