The Arius series is being expanded this year to include the two top models YDP-165 and YDP-S55 as well as the two smaller counterparts YDP-145 and YDP-S35 . The YDP-165 and YDP-145 are available in Rosewood, Black and White, with the larger YDP-165 also available in a pretty White Ash. The situation is similar with the models YDP-S55 and YDP-S35, where the “S” stands for Slim . Both models are of course available in the color variants Black and White, although the YDP-S35 is also available in the more unusual White Ash option.

With all models in the Arius series , care was taken to ensure that the defined sound and the expressive lightness when playing feel like a real piano. This is not only due to the 192-voice polyphony and the further developed GH3 or GHS keyboard , but above all to the precisely sampled grand piano sound of Yamaha's high-end CFX concert grand piano . The top sound of the renowned CFX concert grand impresses with brilliant highs and a powerful, resonant bass. In combination with the 88-key piano mechanics, the Graded Hammer 3 (YDP-165 and YDP-S55) and the Graded Hammer Standard keyboard (YDP-145 and YDP-S35) imitate the touch of an acoustic piano and are naturally convincing heavy feel on the lower keys and a lighter touch in the upper octaves. The authentic playing feeling is rounded off by the new groundbreaking Virtual Resonance modeling Lite (VRM Lite) technology . It creates a varied sound by simulating the complex resonances that arise when the vibrations of the strings are transmitted to the soundboard and other strings . The timing and intensity of playing on the keyboard and pedals are taken into account.

Also on board and contributing to the authentic sound are the sound balancing and tone escape technologies . The sound balancing technology in all Arius models ensures that the sound balance is optimally adjusted according to the selected volume, resulting in an exceptionally natural sound that is gentle on the ears even during extended hours of practice.

The Tone Escapement technology ensures that the sound from the inside reaches the outside through built-in sound slots on the back of the gaming table. The resulting sound radiation and three-dimensional resonance is very close to that of an acoustic piano.
