The Victory Duchess amplifiers are aimed at anyone who places particular value on feel and high-quality boutique tone. The single-channel amp delivers the classic clean sound of American '65 amps in the Voice I position, while in the Voice II setting it sounds a bit punchier and in the style of the 1950s. Drive it a little further into valve saturation and activate the Mid-Kick, and a typically British '60s blues-rock tone unfolds.

The handy 40-watt lunchbox head V40 The Duchess Compact features a digital reverb and can be operated with either 6L6 or EL34 valves. If you prefer a more polished look, the V40 Deluxe is a good bet. In addition to a wooden cabinet covered in Tolex, it also offers a tremolo effect which, like the reverb, is valve-driven. The V40 Deluxe is also available as a combo. For fans of ample headroom, the 100-watt head V140 Super Duchess comes highly recommended.

As a space-saving option there's the pedalboard amp V4 The Duchess, and with the V1 The Duchess — developed in collaboration with effects legend Adrian Thorpe — you get the characteristic Duchess tone in pedal format as a boost or overdrive for your own amp.
