In 2020 Sonor once again sat down with Benny Greb, an exceptional drummer and one of the best-known Sonor artists, to develop two new versions of his signature snare drum.
Benny Greb Signature Snare Drum – Beech
The well-known and popular 13 x 5.75 inch beech snare with Scandinavian birch received a visual upgrade in the form of an elegant bubinga veneer inlay and the classic 1950s “teardrop” tension lugs. The snare drum also features two new “MonoRail” internal dampers made of felt and sheepskin, which allow a wide range of tonal variations with a simple hand movement.
Benny Greb Signature Snare Drum – Vintage Brass
It is especially worth mentioning that the Benny Greb snare is now also available with a 1.2 mm thick shell made of vintage brass, resulting in a warm, round sound with pleasant overtones.
