Redwood Modern Style
Brutal riffs, divebombs, right-hand finger taps, amp cranked to eleven… If that kind of jargon makes you nod vigorously instead of scratching your head, you’re probably a fan of the heavier side. And on a march like that the right gear is crucial.
With our Redwood Modern guitars we put exactly that in your hands: pickup configurations with humbuckers for punch and presence, "fast" necks for nimble solos, lightweight bodies for sustain and agile performance – all dressed in looks that leave no doubt about your mission!

Robust & lightweight
On many variants the body is made from linden (basswood), which makes it surprisingly light. That keeps you going even during long practice sessions or energetic gigs.
Comfortable neck
The neck is either bolt-on or glued-in (depending on the model) and often has a "C" profile – flat enough for fast melodies, but not so thin that you lose playing comfort.
Playability
The frets are medium-jumbo – a great size for power chords, solos and bending, without feeling uncomfortable.
String gauge
They come from the factory with .010–.046 gauge strings – a good balance so you can get metallic distortion but also, if you like, pull out softer tones.
Why the Redwood Modern is perfect for beginners in metal
The Redwood Modern series gives you everything you need for powerful metal sounds:
Pickup option H-H (2 humbuckers)
For pure metal tone – thick sustain, strong mids and enough punch for heavy rhythm power and solo attacks.
Pickup option H-S-S (humbucker + 2 single coils)
More flexibility – you get the typical humbucker distortion along with the clear highs of single coils, which is especially helpful if you want to play cleaner parts too.
Bridge options
Depending on the model there’s either a Floyd Rose tremolo (for dive-bombs, vibrato and more metal expressiveness) or a hard-tail bridge (HT), which is particularly stable in tuning and excellent for rhythmic riffs.
Tone & control
With the classic 3-way switch (on many H-H models) you can quickly toggle between humbucker positions, plus there are volume and tone controls – simple handling so you’re not overwhelmed as a beginner.
