Redwood Modern Style
Brutal riffs, dive bombs, right finger taps, amp turned up to eleven... If this jargon doesn't make you scratch your head, but rather nod vigorously, you're probably a fan of the harder stuff. And with such a forceful approach, the right equipment is crucial.
With our Redwood Modern guitars, we give you exactly that: humbucker pickups for power and output, “fast” necks for nimble solos, lightweight bodies for sustain and agile performance – all wrapped up in a package that leaves no doubt about your mission!
Hard & Heavy: Electric guitars to kickstart your metal career!
Redwood Modern: Exklusiv bei session!
Robust & lightweight
The body of many models is made of basswood, which makes it surprisingly lightweight. This allows you to stay fit even during long practice sessions or energetic performances.
Comfortable neck
The neck is either bolt-on or set (depending on the model) and in many cases has a “C” profile – just flat enough for fast melodies, but not so thin that you lose your playing comfort.
Playability
The frets are medium jumbo—a great size for power chords, solos, and bending without feeling uncomfortable.
String Gauge
The factory-installed strings are .010–.046 – a good balance that allows you to play both metallic distortion and, if you like, slightly softer tones.
Why the Redwood Modern is perfect for beginners in metal
The Redwood Modern series gives you everything you need for powerful metal sounds:
Pickup variant H-H (2 humbuckers)
For pure metal sound—thick sustain, strong mids, enough punch for rhythm power and solo attacks.
Pickup configuration H-S-S (humbucker + 2 single coils)
More flexibility – you get the typical distortion of a humbucker and the clear highs of single coils at the same time, which is especially helpful if you also want to play cleaner parts.
Bridge options
Depending on the model, there is either a Floyd Rose tremolo (for dive bombs, vibrato, and more metal expressiveness) or a hard-tail bridge (HT), which is particularly stable in tuning and ideal for rhythmic riffs.
Tone & Control
The classic 3-way switch (on many H-H models) allows you to quickly switch between humbucker positions, and there are volume and tone controls – easy handling so you won't be overwhelmed as a beginner.
