The young “music technology company” Lava Music started in 2013 to break new ground. Its mission is to create musical instruments that use new materials and acoustic structures to offer a modern counter-proposal to traditional construction methods and thus bring guitar making into the 21st century.
After a thorough and detailed development phase, the world's first one-piece, injection-molded guitar made of AirSonic carbon fiber material was presented on October 11, 2017 - the prototype of all subsequent Lava ME guitars. Due to their composition , the guitars from this series are lighter, more durable and more stable in tuning than conventional guitars over an incredibly wide range of temperatures and climates. They are easier to play with and also have a great sound.

Beneath the finish lies the revolutionary BreatheNet Honeycomb technology. The arched honeycomb structure produces an extraordinary sound even when plucked lightly due to the different heights and strengths of the individual chambers, which in combination with the FlyNeck ensures an extraordinary playing feel.
Inside this FlyNeck, the parametric design with its structural geometry ensures that the different forces when gripping are optimally distributed, making the neck exceptionally comfortable to play with. In order to guarantee the guitarists the best possible string position, the frets of the Lava ME guitars are dressed with the Plek PRO machine. Behind it lies the most advanced guitar fret processing system in the world. This state-of-the-art process eliminates all potential noise interference. Intonation problems are now a thing of the past.
The guitars from the Lava ME 2 FreeBoost series are also equipped with the L2 preamp system with FreeBoost™ technology . This uses the bottom of the guitar as a “loudspeaker” and makes it possible to play anywhere and at any time with three built-in effects – namely reverb, delay and chorus – completely without cable or amplifier .
It should now be sufficiently proven that Lava ME guitars originate from contemporary instrument making. This is underlined by a modern design language with elegant contours and fresh colors, which makes this fact visible to every audience.
Even though Lava guitars are extremely robust: an Ideal Bag 2 is including with every ME 2 FreeBoost. The gig bag protects the surfaces from unpleasant events and increases the resistance to pressure and shocks during transport. It is also 20 percent smaller than the first generation and now makes the instrument ultra-portable: The Lava ME guitars fit seamlessly into the padded bag and thus enjoy excellent protection on the way from A to B.
