We of course couldn't resist and have already tried the handcrafted Wizard along with the matching cabinet from Hook Amplification. Olli tells you what we thought in our YouTube video.
Wizard Head
The Wizard is a compact 2-channel valve amplifier with Impulse Response (IR) speaker simulation and motorised knobs. This is a fully programmable valve amp with 32 memory slots, where you can save your favourite sounds and switch between presets either via a rotary control on the amp or via a MIDI footswitch. When you recall your presets, the knobs mechanically and, as if by magic, move to their previously stored positions.
Another clever feature is the built-in loadbox. This lets you run the 45-watt amplifier in Silent Mode without a connected speaker cabinet using the 16 internal (IR) speaker models. This gives you the option to send the signal via the direct output and an audio interface straight into a DAW or a mixing desk. Of course you can also load your own speaker simulations (IR) into the Wizard.
Wizard Cabinets
As the perfect complement and for maximum sound quality, the in-house Wizard cabinets with their Warehouse Guitar Speakers (WGS speakers) are ideal. Just like the amplifiers, the speaker cabinets are hand-built from only the finest materials. The 1x12" cabinets are designed to react to the subtlest nuances of the player's touch. The enclosures sound warmer and more alive than ever and deliver a guitar tone that's as rich as it is fat.
