The unusual look of the Acoustic models is based on the specifications of the Gretsch Rancher , a well-known jumbo western guitar from the 1950s. Like this historical model, the current, modernized Rancher models also feature the characteristic triangular sound hole . This feature is intended to prevent feedback and improve sonic projection . For the perfect sound on stage, every guitar in the Acoustic Collection is equipped with a pickup ; some models are even equipped with Gretsch humbuckers, which are actually installed on electric guitars.
Exciting new colors were brought into play for the Acoustics Collection, which wonderfully complement the modern optics of the instruments.
