The Gibson Les Paul is one of the oldest and best-known electric guitars in the world and remains hugely popular today. The Les Paul Modern Lite introduces a new series of Les Paul models that honour the original while sporting a new, distinctive and modern look. The Les Paul Modern Lite isn't just for die-hard Paula fans; it's also for guitarists who until now have been put off this model by its unwieldy and often heavy body.

Time-tested tone, new look
With the Gibson Les Paul Modern Lite, Gibson attempts to give the familiar Les Paul a modern face while retaining the core features that made the model so popular. Below you'll find an overview of the specifications of the new Gibson Les Paul Modern Lite.
Body
The body is, as usual, made of mahogany, but is slightly thinner. For more comfortable playing while standing, the Les Paul Modern Lite has been given a belly cut.
Neck
Mounted on the mahogany neck with a fast-playing Slim Taper profile is a rosewood fretboard with a 12" radius. Overall, the new model scores with its low weight and very good playability.
Pickups
Of course the right pickups are essential for the perfect sound. The classic Gibson pairing of 490R and 498T pickups delivers a wide variety of tones that cover a broad range of genres.
Bridge and Controls
Perfect intonation is provided by an aluminium Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge with an aluminium stop bar. The classic Les Paul control layout, consisting of two volume and two tone controls, is of course retained here as well.
Finish
The guitars are coated with an ultra-thin, satin nitrocellulose lacquer that interferes less with the wood's resonance. The open‑pore finish beautifully reveals and even lets you feel the wood grain.
Colours
The headstocks are finished in the same colour as the body, which perfectly completes the guitars' modern look. The Gibson Les Paul Modern Lite is available in five different, strikingly colourful finishes. You're sure to catch the audience's eye with these guitars!
