The new Generation Collection represents popular acoustic guitar classics from Gibson with a modern, understated look at a wallet-friendly price.
The guitars feature a walnut body with a Sitka spruce top and a Utile neck. Thanks to the modern, slim neck profile, the Generation Collection guitars are comfortable to play for all hands. Particularly noteworthy is the additional soundhole, the Player Port, on the upper bout that faces the player. This makes the guitar sound fuller and louder, offering a great immersive sonic experience.
With regard to body shape you can choose between interpretations of various Gibson classics, namely the 00, the J-45, the Songwriter or the Jumbo J-200, as well as the Hummingbird, which completes the series as the G-Bird.
The G-00, G-45 and the G-Bird feature a scale length of 24.75". The other two guitars have a 25.5" scale length. While the G-00 and the G-45 come completely without electronics, the three remaining models in the Generation Collection are equipped with an LR Baggs pickup system. As a special visual treat, the three electrified guitars have also been given black binding. Rounding off the specifications is the fact that all instruments in the Generation Collection were hand-built in Bozeman/USA and are delivered with a protective Soft Case.
