Authentic time-travel construction
Both models embody the spirit of the classic ES series with their iconic semi-hollow designs and centre blocks that perfectly balance resonance and sustain.
- Gibson: 3-ply maple-poplar-maple laminate with a solid centre block
- Epiphone: 5-ply maple body with a solid centre block
This produces the airy ES tone with powerful sustain – ideal for blues, rock and any timeline.
A neck for the ages
- Gibson: Mahogany neck with long tenon and hide-glue neck joint, '61 Thin-D profile
- Epiphone: Mahogany neck with rounded C profile for familiar playability
Both feature a rosewood fretboard and parallelogram inlays – on Gibson as a single inlay at the 12th fret, on Epiphone in the classic split design.
1.21 gigawatts of pure tone
- Gibson: Two unpotted Custombuckers (Alnico-3), hand-wired with CTS® pots and paper-in-oil capacitors
- Epiphone: Two Alnico Classic PRO™ humbuckers with Mono-Varitone circuitry
