Fender Masterbuilt guitars and basses are high-quality, handcrafted instruments made by selected Masterbuilders in the Fender Custom-Shop. Masterbuilders at Fender are true masters of their craft! They have the know-how and the freedom to build individual instruments according to the specific wishes of artists and customers or based on their own ideas. When manufacturing they can draw on a wide range of the finest materials, designs and construction techniques. Their creativity knows (almost) no bounds in the workshop.
Among the most renowned Masterbuilders today are, among others: Jason Smith and Dale Wilson, Andy Hicks and David Brown, Greg Fessler and Dennis Galuszka as well as Vincent van Trigt and Austin MacNutt, to name just a few well-known names.

In our latest Masterbuilt video Olli presents several new models from the coveted Fender Custom Shop. All Masterbuilts were built to the specs of our in-house Strat fanatic Olli Lohmann. In the video Olli showcases three guitars by Jason Smith and two more by Dale Wilson. You don't get that in front of the camera every day.

When two of the world's most renowned guitar builders grace our Custom Reserve Boutique, it's always something very special. Andy Hicks and Austin MacNutt from the Fender Custom Shop visited us – and as so often it showed: Olli simply has an extraordinarily good rapport with the Masterbuilders.
In the video the two talk with Olli about the art of artificial ageing, their very own signature in relicing and the endless possibilities that the Fender Custom Shop offers guitarists – sonically, visually and emotionally.
