Epiphone 150th Anniversary Collection

Limited edition models

The name Epiphone should be known to every guitarist, as it stands for high-quality instruments with the best workmanship at fair prices . Founded in Greece in 1873 and based in New York from 1903, the small manufacturer of lutes and violins over time became one of the largest instrument making companies in the world.

2023 marks the 150th year of Epiphone company history. Of course, this needs to be celebrated, which is why Epiphone is introducing the limited edition 150th Anniversary Collection this year. The collection consists of four instruments that are modeled down to the last detail on Epiphone 's historical models. Each instrument in the 150th Anniversary Collection has been designed with great attention to detail and is in no way inferior to its historical models.

Epiphone Crestwood Custom

In 1958, the Crestwood model, one of the first Epiphone solid-body electric guitars, was released. A year later, the model was renamed Crestwood Custom, the body edges were rounded and the pickguard was redesigned. The Crestwood Custom was produced until 1970 and is now being reissued to mark the company's 150th anniversary. The design remains the same, the most noticeable changes being the popular “Batwing” headstock and the new California Coral finish.

Epiphone Wilshire

The first Epiphone Wilshire came onto the market in 1959. For the 1963 model year, the guitar was fundamentally changed and received an asymmetrical form with rounded edges and two mini humbuckers. It was largely offered in this configuration for the remainder of its production life, and the Anniversary model also remains true to this design. Modern modifications include Wilkinson tuning machines, a 3-way Switchcraft switches and CTS potentiometer.

Epiphone Zephyr DeLuxe Regent

The Epiphone Zephyr DeLuxe Regent was originally produced from 1948 to 1957 and was one of the world's leading hollowbody designs at the time when Epiphone was Gibson 's largest competitor. This guitar is perfect for jazz, blues and rockabilly and therefore perfectly reflects the sound of its time. With the historic Epiphone logo, Tree of Life headstock inlay and Vintage trapeze tailpiece, the look is of course not neglected.

Epiphone Sheraton

The Sheraton is one of the best-known models from Epiphone and was built between 1959 and 1970. The successor model, the Sheraton II, is still manufactured today and is very popular. The guitar's Vintage look includes the famous cherry finish, a Tremotone vibrato tailpiece and gold hardware. With the modern mini humbuckers made by Gibson, the 150th Anniversary Sheraton presents itself in a new tonal look.
