The Charvel DK24, also affectionately known as the "Dinky", is a first-class choice for guitarists looking for a versatile and powerful instrument. This guitar combines Charvel's legendary quality with contemporary features designed specifically for the discerning player.
The company histories of Charvel and Jackson have been closely intertwined since the late 1970s. This is why the Dinky is also based on a Jackson design. In principle, these are ST guitars with a slightly smaller and narrower body. This makes the Dinky very comfortable and perfect for fast and dynamic, but also technical playing. The body is often made of alder or mahogany and therefore offers a balanced sound base with a strong mid-range.

Charvel DK24 – DinkyHighlights
The Charvel DK24 Dinky combines outstanding craftsmanship, versatile sound possibilities and state-of-the-art playability in one instrument. Whether you play rock, metal, jazz or fusion music, the DK24 offers you the tools to realize your musical ideas.
Neck & fretboard
A real highlight of some DK24 models is the bolt-on maple neck with a caramelized maple fingerboard. This "baked" neck offers improved stability and an exceptional playing feel. Another advantage of the bolt-on necks is the more percussive sound - they offer "more bang!" With a compound radius fingerboard (12"-16"), the DK24 models provide a smooth transition from rhythmic playing to fast solos. The 24 jumbo frets allow precise and clean note response.
Pickups & electronics
The Charvel DK24 guitars are often equipped with Seymour Duncan pickups, such as the Full Shred SH-10B on the bridge and the Jazz SH-2N on the neck. This combination offers an enormous range of sound possibilities. Olli raves about everything from clear, warm clean sounds to aggressive, assertive high-gain tones. In addition, the Dinky's are usually equipped with a 5-way switch, which enables a wide range of sound options. The special "no-load" tone pot can be completely removed from the circuit to preserve the unadulterated tone of the pickups.
Hardware & Finish
The DK24 hardware comes from Charvel or Gotoh and is usually available in chrome, gold and black, depending on the model. On the top models, a Gotoh 510 custom tremolo bridge in combination with locking tuners ensures tuning stability even with intensive playing techniques. Depending on the model, the DK24 is also equipped with a hardtail bridge or a Floyd Rose 2-point tremolo, which offers additional flexibility. The finish of the DK24 is available in a range of stunning colors to suit every guitarist's individual style.
