What's behind the new digital pianos from the CASIO Compact series?

As the series name suggests, the successors also find a free spot even in the smallest rooms thanks to their very compact dimensions.

Like their predecessors, the new heavyweights from the CDP-S series impress with excellent sound and keyboard characteristics. Particularly noteworthy are the weighted Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II, an excellent selection of tone colours and the highly sought-after option to operate the new digital pianos with the free CASIO Music Space app (formerly Chordana Play For Piano app).

Moreover, the top model of the series has had its polyphony doubled from 64 to 128 voices. This makes the 700 high-quality tone colours such as grand piano, organ and harpsichord of the CDP-S360 sound even more authentic. Depending on your preference, the CDP-S360 can be used with the stand CS-470P with integrated 3-pedal unit or with the 3-pedal SP-34 (both sold separately). With the also not included WU-BT10 Wireless MIDI- & Audio Adapter, the digital piano can even be connected wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet.

The CDP-S160 is designed as a set and consists of the digital piano and the stylish black stand CS-470P. Thanks to the included stand, the piano can be integrated into your living area straight away and, alongside the authentic keyboard and realistic tone colours, scores with additional functions such as Duet Mode, MIDI recorder and scale function. In short, these features make the CDP-S160 SET the perfect companion — also for lessons.

An equally faithful companion from Casio is the entry-level model CDP-S110. Compared with its predecessor, its decay time has been extended, which, in combination with the speaker system, gives the piano an even more authentic sound. To avoid overwhelming beginner players, ten tone colours, including grand pianos and electric pianos, are available and just waiting to be discovered and played.
