The Wampler Mofetta Overdrive / Distortion is Brian's homage to the MOSFET-driven magic of a 1990s classic - the MT10 MOSTORTION™. The Mofetta is a mainstay for countless top session players and honours the soul of this hard-to-describe but classic circuit while revealing its untapped potential.
The Mofetta is an extremely capable successor to the MOSTORTION™ that delivers the classic amp-like overdrive, massive headroom and the versatile 3-band EQ that made the original so famous. Brian Wampler wanted more, though, and added a Texture switch that inserts MOSFETs into the pedal's overdrive section to produce a fatter, more articulate tone. The Mofetta preserves everything you love about the early-'90s legend, with a powerful new Wampler dimension.

Brian Wampler, CEO of Wampler Pedals, has created some of the best effects pedals in the world. From the humble beginnings of modding pedals to producing his original boutique pedals, it's been a long journey for Brian. He is a guitarist first and foremost and has always been a true gear nerd — he tried different guitars, amps and, of course, pedals — always with the aim of achieving the best possible sound. So rather than settle for standard sounds, he began tweaking and modifying pedals here and there to get closer to the sounds he heard in his head.
