For decades the Taylor Grand Auditorium 314ce made of Sapele and spruce has been very popular with guitarists because it proves to be a practical workhorse and is characterised by the full tone of its solid-wood body. With the new 314ce Studio Taylor has refined the design to make it more affordable and to give it an aesthetic refresh. Notable features include a torrefied spruce top, rounded body bevels with black and white binding on the top, a fully glossy body, a nut width of 1-11/16 inches, 4mm dot fretboard inlays made of Italian acrylic, a tortoiseshell-style pickguard (imitation) and a practical gigbag for easy transport. This Studio edition is available with either a natural or a lightly shaded edgeburst top. As with the standard 314ce, this model also features a black 3-ring rosette and Taylor nickel tuners, is equipped with Taylor's patented V-Class bracing and is supplied with the integrated ES2 electronics.
