The Boogie Bass Amp is back!

The all-tube Boogie Bass 400+ was a modern classic, used by the world's most talented bassists for over two decades. From Paul McCartney to Mark King, from Stanley Clark to Jack Blades and Michael Anthony - the 400+ has transcended boundaries and musical genres and has stood behind real icons on stage throughout its 20-year history.
Today, it's the award-winning Mesa/Boogie Subway series that's turning heads in the Class D space with its precise sound, warmth, and portability. The idea behind the design of the Subway TT-800 was to create a powerful, portable way to showcase that unique sonic personality in a handy package.

Enjoy all the sounds on demand

Two separate channels in a dual- Mono configuration feed the Mesa/Boogie Subway TT-800's powerful, punchy 800-watt Class D amplifier , providing the foundation for developing your ultimate bass sounds.
The TT-800 features an all-new tube-powered preamp that allows bassists to experience the rich, blooming tube character of the Bass 400+'s legendary tone stack architecture in the Boogie channel or the modern sound of the award-winning Subway channel with improved tightness in the Bass range, precise, powerful mids and crystal clear highs. These channels can be switched between (footswitch optional) to achieve different sounds and sounds / tones with one instrument , or you can assign them to separate instruments with different characters and needs.
With our patch point style independent effect loop design, you can edit each channel independently or use an external preamp or modeler for any of the switchable channels

Vintage meets modern

The top Boogie channel, using the famous Bass 400+ signal path, is alive and bursting with three-dimensional tube sound and includes new improvements such as the Subway's HIGHPASS and a semi-parametric controls for the MID frequencies, extending the versatility of the already epic sounds increased even further.
The lower Subway channel offers everything the modern bassist wants: articulated, nuanced details and it now also features a tube preamp that offers more precise tonal tuning and a more neutral character .

The TT-800 is packed with modern features: The DEEP and BRIGHT switches offer additional sound shaping options and allow you to tame "booming" rooms by turning DEEP off or switching it on for styles like reggae. About Mesa/Boogie

In the late 1960s, Randall Smith, one of the San Francisco Bay Area's most famous amplifier repairers, was inspired to build his own amplifier model after learning to appreciate the tweed circuits of the 1950s. He loved their organic sound, the effective controls , and the way the sound changed smoothly from clean to distortion and back again when the gain control was turned.
In order to advance with his own amplifier designs and concepts, he settled in Pentaluma, California in 1969 and worked on further developing his amplifier model.
The typical, heavily distorted sound of his Mesa/Boogie amplifier model was initially the result of an electrically incorrectly dimensioned preamplifier. The company's founder, Randall Smith, was unsure whether the pre-amp would have enough power to drive the amplifier , so he designed it with four double triodes, of which the first seven triodes are still used today to amplification the input signal.

Many years later , Mesa/Boogie has become one of the major global players in the market for high-quality guitar and bass amplifiers and is a leader in the development of modern amp designs and circuits. The American company also holds several patents on special features and circuits, such as Multi-Watt™, Dyna-Watt™ and the Mesa CabClone™ Cab Simulator, which you are sure to come across when browsing through our selection of Mesa/Boogie products become.

Of course, a manufacturer of such innovative and high-quality products has now also been able to gather a large fan base among professional musicians who are enthusiastic about Mesa/Boogie amps. The most famous users of Mesa/Boogie amps include the aforementioned Carlos Santana, Larry Carlton, Angus Young, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, Adam Jones, Mark Tremonti and Dave Grohl. Of course, these are by no means all the famous Mesa/Boogie users and Mesa/Boogie also has a large and constantly growing fan base among studio musicians and hobby guitarists. Maybe you too will soon be part of the next generation of the Mesa/Boogie fan community?
