About Meinl Cymbals HCS

The HCS series cymbals are made in Germany from MS63 brass and offer an inexpensive entry into the world of Meinl Cymbals. With a selection of splashes, crashes, Chinas, effect cymbals, rides and entire cymbals sets, Meinl Cymbals offers the largest selection in this price range with the HCS series .

If you are looking for a slightly brighter and clearer sound , you will find the same selection of cymbals in the HCS Bronze series. These are also made in Germany from B8 bronze.

The latest addition to the family, the HCS Practice series, offers large perforated cymbals, which are extremely loud in volume. This means they can be used for practicing in volume-sensitive environments such as apartments or even at very small gigs.

About Meinl Cymbals

The Meinl company was founded in 1951 by Roland Meinl as a one-man company for cymbals in a basement workshop. Now family-run in its third generation, Roland Meinl Musikinstrumente has become one of the biggest names in the manufacture of cymbals, percussion instruments and sound therapy instruments with locations in Gutenstetten and Nashville, TN.

Meinl Cymbals are manufactured at two locations . Production is located at the company headquarters in Gutenstetten , Franconia. This was specialized in high-precision automated production and hammering and has been constantly modernized since the new building in 2003. The series, manufactured exclusively in Germany, include HCS, Classics Custom, Classics Custom Dark, Classics Custom Dual as well as Pure Alloy and Pure Alloy Custom.

With the introduction of the traditionally hand-hammered cymbals of the Byzance series in 2000, Meinl entered into a centuries-old tradition of cymbal production in the homeland of cymbal forging - Turkey . Since the new Turkish production facility was built in Samsun in 2019, production has taken place in a state-of-the-art factory. After production there, the cymbals are refined in the German factory and each one is strictly tested for optics and sound .

The cymbals range includes seven higher-level series, which cover a particularly wide range of sounds based on six different alloys. These include: Byzance, Pure Alloy, Classic Custom, HCS, Symphonic/Marching, Generation X and Artist Concept Models.

The range is complemented by drum gear - accessories for drums - from drum carpets to practice pads and embroidery bags to cymbal cleaners and tuning keys. Meinl Cymbals ' endorsees include some of the most successful and well-known drummers of this time, including: Benny Greb, Robert Sput Searight, Matt Garstka, Anika Nilles, Mike Johnston, Jost Nickel, Chris Coleman, Luke Holland, Brann Dailor and Wolfgang Haffner.

To experience the complete Meinl Cymbals range with all your senses, we would like to recommend a visit to our Walldorf branch. On site we are home to the first Meinl flagship store in Europe , where you can find the entire Meinl Cymbals portfolio and even some special models and of course you can play and try them out.
