The cross section of the sold-by-the-meter cable is 0.50 mm² (AWG 21), which is twice as high as that of conventional fabric cables. To minimize microphonic effects and to protect against disruptive external influences, it is double-shielded with a braid of bare copper wires on conductive plastic.
